One of the best videos that I have seen.

It lets you see that there is other sides of the health care works life. That we should be more aware of your patents emotional health as well. Many of us go day by day not caring or understanding your patients state of mind.We don’t know what has happen to them at home or what troubles they are experiencing. It made me think when he said,” the physical pain can be controlled by medication, but what about emotional pain.” Its hard when we have a patient who is about to pass and she/he is alone in a room with no family. I cant even imagine what could be going on in that patients head. Some times all we need to do is have a heart and make a connection with a patient and treat them like a human. We need to treat people with kindness, respect and be aware of what is said in front of them. I highly recommend this video. It has many good points for someone who is starting in the medical field or even someone who just needs a reminder that some people don’t need medication all the time. Some just want a ear, a shoulder to cry, a person to teat them human and understand there pain.

Another good point me made was when he said that not only do the patients suffer but the family and the professionals caring for the patient. No human likes to see another human suffer. Compassion and understanding for all humans is what we as healthcare workers should practice.
