The 1983 drama/thriller, Scarface is recognized by many people, not only because of the amazing acting of Al Pacino, but also has many remarkable quotes like “say hello to my little friend”. This movie received fairly good rating hitting an 82% on the tomato meter and an 8.3/10 on IMDb. The critic reviews are also pretty good stating that they liked the actor’s performance and despite its moralistic conclusion, the film has since become de rigueur viewing for crack barons, who know a good shoot-em-up when they see one.

Tony Montana manages to leave Cuba during the Mariel exodus of 1980. He finds himself in a Florida refugee camp but his friends Manny has a way out for them: undertake a contract killing and arrangements will be made to get a green card. He’s soon working for drug dealer Frank Lopez and shows his mettle when a deal with Colombian drug dealers goes bad. He also brings a new level of violence to Miami. Tony is protective of his wife and sister but his mother knows what he does for a living and disowns him. Tony is impatient and wants it all, including Frank’s empire and his mistress Elvira Hancock. Once at the top however, Tony’s outrageous actions make him a target and everything comes crumbling down.

This movie is definitely a must watch for anyone interested in drama; a great movie with great actors and a great story line that is super easy to follow, but it always leaves you thinking. Al Pacino takes his roll seriously and makes the character of Tony come to live through his action and he are just immerse in the film through his amazing act. Not only does Al Pacino totally crush his roll, but all the other actors as well, Steven Bauer, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonic, Paul Shenar, etc. they all play their parts and slowly become the character making the movie feel even more real. I would give this movie a pretty good score and rating as well, because I remember just loving this movie when I first watched it.
