For the class of Informatics 103, I’ll be listing all the assignments I have done throughout the semester with their links below:

As a whole semester has gone by, the number of people who have entered my blog was approximately 64 visitors in total.

In my opinion, this course was a bit challenging, but not impossible. Since the main objective of this class is about making your own blog from scratch and learning the new features on how it functions… was what made it hard. However, within time and lots of patience, I learned the full capacity about blogging and just knowing that, makes me feel fulfilled. Also, it has benefited me due to the career path which I am headed, so its more like hitting two birds with one stone type-of-moment.

The two things that interested me the most about the course was generally being able to published my own free will of work and designing my own website. Since I am majoring in Journalism, there’s going to be a lot of moments that you won’t be able to write on topics that you want to talk about, although, it depends in what area of Journalism you are going to and position. Besides that, designing, in general, is so much fun, but can be a hassle. It is how all the different elements come together within the design that makes it fun.

Nonetheless, the two most important things which I have learned by the end of this course is to always give credit on information’s you use for assignments, such as when using a quote, video, images, and etc. Also, on how to protect our private information in social media and other applications from strangers and especially from hackers. Now with advance technology, they can easily steal your identity, bank information, social security number, and much more from just a few clicks away. However, thanks to the professor… I don’t have to feel worried about that, because he introduced us to a couple of VPN (programs which can protect your current location and other disclosed information) and  Disconnect.me.

To conclude all of this, I feel like the only aspect which I would change about the course would be able to discuss all the different types blogs there is during class, of course. For instance, each student taking turns in presenting what their blog is about and then each week talk about their new post, so there would be more engagement with others and get interested into going to their websites.
