Being in college can be stressful, always having something to do and if you work and study at the same time, it’s even worse. But, nothing beats FINALS WEEK, I’m going to share some tips on how to concentrate or motivate yourself to finish and have time to relax.

  1. Clean your room or the space around you, clean space, clean mind and no distractions, for some reason it helps.
  2. Organize your work space, put in your calendar everything you have to do, all of the assignments. This helps you organize what you need to do first.
  3. Don’t stress yourself unless you only have and hour to turn in something haven’t done, breath and think on what you need to do.
  4. Shower and eat first, watch something on tv or do something that helps you distract yourself. Do some work while you have the tv on, turn it down so you can study or pause it.
  5. Turn on a diffuser or a candle with a scent, that helps to calm yourself, to think, to concentrate or to gain energy back.
  6. If your studying a lot and nothing stays in your mind EXPLAIN IT to another person and teach them what you are studying.
  7. Don’t drink a lot of coffee, I KNOW IT’S YUMMY but what comes up must come down and maybe you get the energy to do something but then you’ll feel weak or out of energy. (Like candy)
  8. Do study sections with friends twice a week to feel more confident with the work in class.
  9. Do something you like before doing some work or studying and make plans to do something afterward so you feel motivated to do it and concentrate.
  10. Treat yourself on having quality entertainment after having a stressful day. Watch movies, have a drink, buy food or something you love.
