Many people use the Internet and the web to download music
and stream movies. Others use it to access the news and the weather report. People
have incorporated the internet into their lives and consider it to be of vital
importance for their personal use. Today, we can see how individuals can engage
in conversations with others from around the world, people from other cultures,
simply through chat or email.

This technology and network facilitates all kinds of
information, it’s like a massive library where you can find any type of information
you desire. This network has a big impact on the areas of ??work and
entertainment. It’s a form of communication, used as an extension between people
to stay informed about what is relevant to their social and their everyday
life.

Currently, the web and the internet are tools of much
importance at a global level. Their existence has caused many changes in
teaching-learning methods and the objectives and expectations in education. The
Internet and web, in terms of formal education, have been very useful as a support
to traditional education: they obtain online information that previously had to
be searched for in books, and nowadays they can access digitized books, virtual
museums, among others. In education, the Internet is a complement to schools
and teaching, allowing an update of knowledge and exchange of experiences in
different parts of the world and in turn interdisciplinary exchange.

The Internet is an inexhaustible source of information and
data first hand, and the web is considered a set of information found in certain
internet addresses, an informative network.

Seeing the positive impact of both tools on education, a
large part of the services provide resources such as encyclopedias, newsletters
and other valuable educational materials. This is the most useful and
pedagogical form of the network and the internet, turning them into a high
educational value. Students and educators can obtain the information they desire
without displacement. The internet offers the opportunity to choose the type of
information you wish to access.

As for the negative impact, the same can be harmful. The access from one side to another with just a simple click of a button can generate compulsive curiosity. A risk factor would be children accessing inappropriate content or material not suitable for their age. Some other points of risks of the internet, due to the time they spend in front of the computer are: problems with their sight and hearing, bad posture, obesity, loneliness, addiction to games, chats and their computer, exposure to the electromagnetic field from said equipment, all of these reduce their social circle and may affect their psychological well-being.
