In the previous post I was talking about how stereotypes can affect men’s lives. This time around I wish to discuss a similar situation that happens to women. In this case I am addressing the feminist stereotype.

Feminism is often considered to be negative. This idealism is often frowned upon because it is commonly believed that feminists are:

  • Angry
  • Demanding
  • Against men

According to an article called “Where do Negative Stereotypes about feminists come from?”, these misconceptions have been around for a long time and have greatly altered the opinion of many. The media created this feminist stereotype. It’s important to remember this when deciding on where to stand on this issue.

Clear examples of what I am referring to can be found in this link: https://thesocietypages.org/socimages/2015/12/28/where-do-negative-stereotypes-about-feminists-come-from/
