Entertainment. We all need it. It shapes our culture and our conversations. In this post, I will recommend YouTube channels, Instagram profiles, books, movies and TV shows that I enjoy and think others can enjoy too.

Youtube Channels:

1.The Take: In this channel, you can find detailed analyses of movies, series, characters or topics related to the world of film and television.

2.Tiffany Ferg: As a 24 year old Media Studies student, Tiffany Ferguson, created a series called Internet Analysis where she analyzes different topics and how they are seen and dealt with through the Internet.

3.Safiya Nygaard: On her channel, Safiya does different experiments related to the world of makeup and fashion. While trying the latest “trends” in the fashion and makeup world, Nygaard also dives into the history of these and their evolution.

Instagram Profiles:

1.Classic Snipets: If you’re a film enthusiast, this account is for you. In this account, you will find scenes from classic old movies.

2.PiazzaSquare Italiano: As a learner of the Italian language, I needed learning tools to be at my fingertips. This account publishes videos and pictures of Italian words, culture and others that I can incorporate into my learning process.

3.Con.SentimientosPR: This account talks about feminist, political and social issues in Puerto Rico in a simpler way and aimed at a younger audience.

Books:

1.If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Mia Hall, a passionate cello player, goes through an inexplicable and devastating experience, after becoming the sole survivor of a catastrophic car accident involving her family.

2.We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Cadence Sinclair recounts a summer spent with her distinguished family and friends on a private island, until a secret shatters their lives.

3.The Selection by Kiera Cass

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the opportunity of a lifetime. It’s the chance to join a world of glittering dresses, priceless jewelry, and palaces and the chance to compete for the heart of the magnificent Prince Maxon.

Movies and TV:

1.Before Sunrise (Dir. Richard Linklater): Europe. Boy meets girl on train. They get off in Vienna and spend the evening together. Will it be their last?

2.Frances Ha (Dir. Noah Baumbach): Break-up. No job. No apartment. Frances is a little stuck. No worries, she doesn’t give up so easily.

3.Babylon Berlin (Creator- Henk Handloegten): Police commissioner, Gereon Rath, moves to Berlin, the epicenter of political and social changes during the Golden Twenties. There, he meets a lot of interesting people, gets trapped in a web of historical and puzzling events and struggles to keep a secret.

These are just some of my recommendations. I believe these are top quality and surely will entertain you and teach you something, whatever that may be.
