During Monday, May 11, group presentations on various technological topics were held in our computer course. My colleagues, Julianna Torres, Génesis Rivera, Darcie M. Williams Ramos, Gabriela Quevedo, and I pretended to be experts on the subject of virtual and augmented reality, based interviews.

We had to expose:

  • Its use and impact
  • Demos and examples
  • Possible negative effects
  • Development and use in Puerto Rico
  • Description of that technology

Our goal was to raise awareness about the use of virtual and augmented reality today, and mention the benefits that it has for the public.

It is a technology that is present in Puerto Rico, yet it is not developed at a relevant level.

The implementation of such technology would be of great benefit to the education system, as it would create more opportunities for young people to learn and retain information more effectively.
