We all know that the internet and the web is a useful resource in our daily lives. We spend a LOT of time searching on the web, on social media and in the internet in general and let’s be honest we feel like The Flinstones when we don’t have the so important connection to internet. We don’t know what to do, we get grumpy… I’m guilty of that too. The internet when is used positively makes our lives so much easier and simple. The information that we need is right in our hands and not only that, we have the advantage that we can do everything on the web. We can get educated, entertain (i feel like that is the main purpose of it), you can even promote your business online, it’s amazing how diverse is the range on the thingz the internet does. We can be here for a while mentioning the wonders of the internet. We need to have in mind that we are in control of how we use the all so important internet and what we consume of it.

Doing a little bit of research to write about this subject I found out that more than the 40% of the world’s population is connected to the internet according to internetlivestatus.com. and many new people are hopping in the wave of internet. Our phones are literally glued to our hands, as soon as we wake up, we are checking our notifications not only with information but with notifications of the famous social media apps. Then the influencers arrived, and social media takes a really controversial turn.

As the word says the influencer had taken upon themselves to influence their younger audience or audience in general. They build a reputation for their knowledge and with this they create post on the internet and they create a following on social media that engage the public to their content.  https://sproutsocial.com/glossary/influencer/

Most of these influencers, the perfect image they project to their audience is really problematic. Their toxic behavior creates the idea to youth that it’s ok to do what these “celebrities” do on social media and it wrong. The audience is young and prone to feeling insecure when seeing the bodies and what this influencers have. Their toxic behavior creates the idea to youth that it’s ok to do what these “celebrities” do on social media and it wrong.

This is not new information but it good that people address it to warn the youth on the internet that what their seeing is not real is just an advertising image that benefits these influencers when their content is consumed. It should be noted that not all influencers on the internet have these behaviors. Some really enjoy what their doing and their content goes beyond the monetary part they win. They Love what they do, and they love sharing with their younger audience, they love helping them in why way or the other and it’s important to highlight this. We see influencer sometimes we like the drama, is entertaining but we need to know when to stop consuming that kind of content that directly or indirectly affect us.

The internet is a broad topic with its pros and cons, and we know it. This was just my opinion on certain thingz regarding the subject with some facts to express my point of view. You don’t have to agree with me and that’s another great thing about the internet. Every opinion matters!
