How did the Internet and the Web start exactly? Has it really made an impact on humanity? Are we letting it change us? What’re the benefits of them? The Internet and the Web are two different systems that have changed and impacted the world in many ways. Both of them are distinct when it comes to defining. The Web “is collection of information which is accessed via the Internet (https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/whats-difference-internet-web/)”, whereas the Internet is “a global network of billions of computers and other electronic devices (https://edu.gcfglobal.org/en/internetbasics/what-is-the-internet/1/)”.

The truth is that they have become part of our everyday life routines. Like everything in this world, it has its advantages and disadvantages. Whether you’re working, studying or doing normal/personal things, electronic devices have somewhat a control over us. Surely, it has facilitated our methods of communication, entertainment, and education.

This video is about the reality of the Internet.

They haven’t been used for the good, too. Social media is obviously linked to the cyberspace, and it is where people can express themselves via texts, pictures or videos. Yet, some of those contents can be mean or come off too strong. When people are constantly criticizing or downgrading you by the media it’s called cyberbullying, and that is something that really needs to change. It’s astonishing how these kind of people, as in the cyberbullies, like to hide themselves through their gadgets.

The Net can also become a challenge when it comes to security and privacy. There are many hackers in this world that have gotten personal information for their convenience. Similarly, there has been an on going debate of how it has affected social interactions between each other, which I believe is true. We’re so consumed by the technology on our hands and surroundings that we often forget how to hold a proper conversation with someone else.

Overall, I believe that the computer network has made a huge positive impact. We can know the latest news, find a job, talk to someone, purchase things, send stuff, etc. Yet, it still doesn’t hide the fact that we get influenced by it socially, economically and politically. That’s the conflict. Some of us use it to ventilate about our situations, to distract ourselves from real problems, to avoid things, among other things. What I mean by this, is that it has become somewhat of an addiction. If one really observes the individuals around us, they can’t be without their phones for more than a few seconds. We’re treating our phones, laptops or tablets, as if our life depended on it.

Personally, I don’t like spending much time on my electronic devices. I feel like it somehow adds to my personal problems, anxiety, misunderstandings, conflicts, others. I try not to let it affect me, but it gets to my mind. That’s why I made this blog about positive messages. Thus, it can make you and I feel better about life. I don’t agree with using the World Wide Web to solve our situations. I consider it healthier and greater to confront our troubles in person.

There are times that we appear to be whole different person in social networks.
