Most people know how to use Google. You visit the homepage enter in some search terms and boom: you get results. However, there are a number of little tricks you can use to make sure you find what you are looking for as quickly as possible. There are even some not search-related tools that are incredibly useful.

Here are some of the best:

  1. Instead of looking for an online dictionary, you can enter the word you are looking for straight into Google’s search bar,along with the command “define,” and DONE.  Now you know that “bumfuzzle” means flustered.
  2. From kilos to pounds, and from USD to JPY, you can make any conversion by just entering the search term ” ____ in/to ______.”
  3. Use Google Maps to search, explore and find your way around the world. You can use this feature to get directions, measure the distance between places, see the street view of your chosen place, and even, see the world in 3D.
  4. If Math is not your thing, don’t worry, Google can do it for you. In the search bar, write the equation that needs solving, and you’ll have the results.  
  5. Now, you can even explore the web in an entirely new way by beginning your Google search with an image.
  6. With Google Translate, you’ll be able to break language barriers and communicate no matter where you’re from or what language you speak.
