For our assignment we had to read about the invention of the World Wide Web. The links were: http://webfoundation.org/about/vision/history-of-the-web/ & http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/mar/09/25-years-web-tim-berners-lee. On these links I had the opportunity to read about the creation of the web on a era where most of the technology that we have now days doesn’t exist. Tim Berners was the person who decided to come up with an idea to storage and share data and ideas. It’s clear that the Internet is not the web, and many people need to know this. Berners found a problem and worked for a solution and to find a way to share it with the world. I’m pretty sure that he had no idea how big his idea was going to get and the impact it would have in today’s history. As we might know we discover new things everyday on the web, and it seems like any second a new feature or tool might appear. The web gives you the power to network with people from all around the world, and explore the creativity in all shapes and forms.

For me both of these articles reflect how much the world has changed and how we can evolve and create wonderful things with the accessibility we have, today. I think it is essential to know and create awareness of everything that goes on inside the Internet and the Web. Sometimes we get so stuck on the idea that everything we see its what it is and we don’t look more deep into it. For me both of the articles showed a reality I didn’t know was there, I didn’t knew the web was invested 25 years ago and there’s so much more than just a web page or link; this was the birth of a whole new generation that would create and come up with magnificent inventions and ideas. Tim Berners was truly a wonderful role model.
