Let me just start off by saying I’m speaking of back to college but because of what I’m saying, you’ll find things you can relate to in High School Middle School, etc. Most people are not so excited to go back to their waking up early routines and studying continuously. The first day might be really exciting but for other’s, it’s like the worst day ever. Why? Obviously nobody, correct me if I’m wrong, likes to set an alarm for the next day really early. Since we were on that nice, long Summer vacation, it felt great to not have to set an alarm for the next day. Now when you wake up, it’s like you don’t have enough energy to get up and get all dolled up for your first day back. You hear your alarm and think: “Ugh, great. I have to get up. Hm, maybe 5 more minutes?” So you stay in bed contemplating if it’s really worth it getting up.

When you finally get the energy to get up, you arrive to your first class all sleepy although you know you have to pay attention to watch your teacher/professor is saying. People try speaking to you either a simple “Hi! How was your Summer?”. There are those people who are excited to be back and you see them walking around and chit chatting with their friends like:

While those who tend to struggle keeping their eyes open are like:

Don’t get me wrong, that’ll be me on my first day or week of college, haha! I liked my Summer, although I started doing a lot more things on my last two weeks of Summer vacation but I can’t complain. It was fun and all but now it’s time to get down to business and stop procrastinating. People usually look at me crazy when I say I want to go back to college but I know that I’ll be excited but by the second week I’ll be just like Boo in that gif. I can’t lie to you guys. We’ve all been through that situation and it’s okay.

Well, most colleges have already began giving class, over here in Puerto Rico, and there are colleges, like mine, who haven’t started yet but are about to. While you can, enjoy those few days you have left of Summer vacation, which is what I’m doing. Also, make sure you have all your supplies ready. Don’t be like some people, here I include myself, who haven’t bought their school supplies when they are LITERALLY about to start class. Although I know people who buy or have bought their materials the day before classes but you don’t want to do that, lol. If you’re a new student in a school or college, FRIENDLY REMINDER: do NOT come with new clothes or a terrified face the first day. Why? Because the people who already study in the school/college you are attending will notice. If you’re lucky, they might not care, then again to be on the safe side, I suggest you take that tip seriously. I know for sure when you go back you don’t want to see some people or simply be social so if anything, just smile and keep it moving although it doesn’t hurt to speak to others.
