Hey everyone!

Today I will be talking about a book with a really common tittle. There’s a lot of books under this tittle, but this one specially is a bit more innocent than the others you might find. Book by Laura Dower. She is a known kid’s author. She has a long list of books she has worked on and particularly we will be talking The boy next door.

Previously I have mentioned the Poison Apple series by Scholastic, well this book is part of another Scholastic’s series called Candy Apple. The boy next door is the second book of the series.  And it is the only one from the series I have read so far.

Here Laura presents to us two best friends called Taryn and Jeff, they have been neighbors and best friends since they were in diapers some may say and now they are sixth graders. The fact that they are a boy and a girl have never bothered them, they just liked each other’s company, they were just friends. But things start to change…

The chapter go from Taryn’s and Jeff’s points of view over and over and it is a very creative and relatable story. It is fun and interesting to read, a perfect choice for young teenagers. I really enjoyed reading this story when I was a young teen and it was absolutely amazing. Laura catches exactly the feelings in our systems and she shares with us how friendship can overcome absolutely everything.
