Hello everyone, today we will be talking about one of the Poison Apple Books series of Schoolastic. Even though this books are mainly for children I adore this chilling and spooky thematic that this series mostly works with. All of this stories are very short so they barely take you time to read it. You can easily finish one of the books in just a couple of hours and you have enough time to start another one. It just depends of how interested you are in it.

Today I will commenting about the book The Dead End by Mimi McCoy. Mimi McCoy has written a lot of books for this series of independent books and I have absolutely loved them. I think Mimi plays a little with you but you still get to have fun in the story and get to know every detail you believe it might be left untold. Sadly there’s not much information about her on the internet.

The story is about this girl named Casey Slater who is having what she thinks to be the worst summer of her life when all she has planned has to go to waste and she moves into a new home. The house it’s old and seems to be falling apart. Plus she hates her new remote country town, there’s nothing to do and she knows no one.

Casey moves to the new summer house and soon realizes that everyone in town seems to think that the house is hunted, but is it really? Soon after a vase explodes and a heavy china cabinet falls over on its own, Casey starts to believe in this rumor.

It doesn’t take much time for Casey to make a new friend called Erik but it’s not him who brings the complete excitement of the story. There’s a diary… A book where someone, a girl, wrote almost every day that she could. Is this the thing in Casey’s house? Is it her ghost?
