Last summer I decided to take a short trip to NYC. I must admit that I was pretty excited, since it was the first time that I was traveling on my own and to NYC. At first it was kind of nerve-wracking the fact of traveling on my own, and getting lost in the airport; I must admit. But after I was on the plane, reading a book and drinking a cup of coffee, I realized that it was so exciting and such a new experience and I wanted to do it more often. When I arrived in New York, i was so thrilled to see, explore, and wander through the streets of the city that never sleeps. I visited many places, and explored loads. So I’m going to show you some of the pictures I took.

I went to watch Evita the Musical, starting Ricky Martin, at the Marquis Theater in Broadway.

Visited Georgetown Cupcakes, one of the stores where they make the show DC Cupcakes in TLC.

Took a trip to Times Square, and it was hectic and amazing.

Got to see the lady; the Statue of Liberty, and other islands that were near her.

Also I visited a quiet nice place outside the city, Bear Mountain. It was breathtaking.

The view from the Carnegie Towers, and a glimpse of Central Park.

The view from Jersey City, NJ. We can see Manhattan and its lights.

These were some of the pictures I took during my journey. Of course that while I was staying at NY I visited family members that I don’t get to see too often, and it was amazing to see them and catch up on their lives and to see that they’re doing really well. After this journey by myself, I realized that I want to keep on traveling and to explore places that I’ve never been able to see. Of course, I need to save up a bit cause traveling isn’t cheap; but its totally worth it. So I encourage you to pursue your dreams and if you want to travel, save up some money and do it. You’ll never regret it, and you will earn a new kind of knowing that you’ll never learn in school. Its simply amazing how much we can learn when we travel to other places and see other cultures. This world is full of places that are eager for you to discover and explore them. So, travel on!
