Pinned Up Two

Today I went to the Galería de la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón’  and I fell in love with the paintings created by Mariestella Colón Astacio. The variety of paintings that contained her collection named“Mira, mira! Look up.” are delightful. The combination of aquarelle, crayons and acrylic on the canvas is, in all the sense of the word, a masterpiece in each of the paintings. I have to say that even though the concept of using these elements are prominent in each of the canvas, they individually share an uniqueness to the paintings, I have never seen before.
It fascinates me the way that the different paintings may look similar from a far, but once you observe closely you can appreciate the details and the magic within each canvas and how the elements of the aquarelle, crayons and acrylic are portrayed so perfectly in them.
