Yes, I am talking about earrings. We must first start with the why the idea of wearing decorations in our ears. Well I will use a metaphor to explain this, a christmas tree would looks ok on its own, but adding ornaments makes it look fabulous. Yes, this is a joke but it is somewhat the answer to the question. We started using earrings because they just liked good. In ancient times males of different cultures, Egyptians and ancient Greeks, used earrings to complement their looks and in other cultures, like in Africa, earrings were used as part of their culture.

Because they come from different cultures and places, earrings can be made of a variety of material like bones, wood, metal, stone, and even plastic. They can also vary in sizes and these sizes and shapes can be used to complement faces. For example someone with a round face could elongate their features by using geometric and long earrings. Earrings have also been a great part of “face fashion” as I like to call it, because they have encouraged changes in hairstyles, make up, and hats.

Earrings could also be very simple or elaborate. Some designers choose to put together simple outfits with statement earrings to add a “pop” and this way still be very catwalk worthy. In the same way some earrings could be very simple and used everyday just to add a little sparkle.
