Recently I stumbled upon a game named Tinker Island and instantly got hooked. It’s a really fun pixel survival game available for free from the App Store and Google Play.

I decided to download it because I’ve gotten hooked on Kongregate games before, and I loved the cute pixel art. I’ve been playing for around 3 weeks now, and the adventures have recently turned longer since it’s real time based.

In the game you get 4 initial survivors.

That proceed to explore and discover the island.

Craft buildings, weapons and necessities.

All of this while also (what makes it extra fun for me) being able to choose certain situations, plus solving puzzles.

Along the way two of my survivors fell in love with each other and had a baby who is now grown and helps out with the adventures. I have also loved and lost loved, found it again, to ultimately just loose it to another.

It was all very heartbreaking.

And as well as puzzles.

It also has a russian-roulette-y battle system that is really intense when your survivors have low HP and you don’t if you’ll be able to attack or if they will.

You also get to recruit new survivors along the way, read their stories, get animal companions (Tina may have left me, but now I got a freaking Tiger!), or just buy them off with materials or real life money.

I seriously recommend this game to anyone that likes to loose a little time on your phone, and then come back to cool surprises and stories.
