“The eyes has to travel” thats what Diana Vreeland Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Magazine and legendary fashion icon always said. She created a revolution in the fashion industry not only with the clothes and the models that appear in the pages of Vogue; she potrayed what others would call flaws into beautiful and avant gard things, she would make you appreciate what was really stunning. Vreeland paved the way for many people and turn them into fashion icons like: Twiggy, Barbra Streisand, Jean Shrimpton, Angelica Houston, Bianca Jagger and many, many more. Because she was really involved in the social scene and was seen on the hot spots; because of this she helped launched the careers of new and upcoming designers and photographers at the time.

Vreeland was a real visionary because she saw the potential that certain people or things have, she really saw way past the ordinary things and create for you a fashion sense. She is such a legend because she increased the fame of the magazine when she begin put it in all the masterpieces that she helped to create and that way she begin to create the image that now has the magazine like elegance and glamour to name a few. She is an inspiration to many like me, that want a career in the fashion industry. Not only because of her fashion sense but because of her vision on everything and that’s why she will always be remembered as “The Empress of Fashion”.
